With expertise in curriculum design, instructional strategies, and experiential learning, I create impactful resources and workshops tailored to meet the diverse needs of educators and learners.
About Me
I am an experienced Curriculum Developer with 8 years of experience writing and editing, gamification, curriculum design in developing and designing online K-12 learning content to align to state standardized instruction, applying context and curricular concepts to professional learning for over 1000+ professionals. I am committed to promoting equity and inclusion by using innovative approaches in curriculum design, educational technology, and global education. Specializing in designing integrated literacy and social studies curricula, I aim to introduce adult learners to the vast opportunities in education and address the inequity of enrichment activities among underrepresented populations.
My Approach
Instructional Design Process
My approach to supporting educational organizations focuses on empowering educators through high-quality training and curriculum development designed to meet their unique needs and inspire student success from K-16. By leveraging my expertise in experiential learning, cross-curricular strategies, and professional development, I create engaging resources and workshops that help educators enhance their instructional practices, connect with diverse student populations, and foster meaningful learning experiences.
Collaboration
I collaborate closely with stakeholders in educational organizations to develop and implement training and curriculum solutions that align with their goals and priorities. By working alongside administrators, educators, and community partners, I ensure that resources and professional development initiatives are tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners, promote equity, and drive meaningful outcomes for both educators and students.
Instructional Design Experience

By identifying transferable skills, leveraging core competencies, and exploring strategies for career advancement, I provided actionable insights to help educators enhance their professional growth and create additional income streams.
TRAINER PROJECTS
Tutoring Conference at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro Institute Partnerships in Education
I presented a session a called" Breaking the Code: Best Reading Tutoring Practices" at the Tutoring Conference with a partnership between The GCS Tutoring Department and the UNCG Institute for Partnerships in Education on August 4, 2023. This session focused on using best research-based reading practices to close academic gaps for students post Covid-19.
International Education Week 2023
I was an invited speaker at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in November 2023. I shared my insights working with diverse multilingual learners. I designed an integrated reading and social studies unit using public art in Europe and its applications in teaching. My unit provides an introduction to the European Union using Modern Human Rights Art as the focal point. The lesson will compare and contrast to express freedom through art for human rights in the EU and the United States.
